S&S Automotive Specialists LLC is a new business with decades of expertise.
After working for decades to help grow one of the most successful independent auto service shops in Birmingham from a few bays to a 26 bay, state-of-the-art facility, Scott Boyd and Steve Faulkner have decided it’s time to think smaller. We have opened a three bay shop where we can focus on having personal relationships with our customers while providing the most advanced diagnostic know-how and best technical skills available anywhere. While the garage is smaller, the expertise we offer is extensive.
We plan to keep our size small and our overhead low, in order to provide the most affordable car service in the area.
We are proudly serving our neighbors in the Cahaba Heights, Mountain Brook, Vestavia Hills, Hoover, Homewood, Inverness, and Meadowbrook areas of Birmingham.

I called S+S after bending the skid plate on my Honda. I was relieved when they said they could fit me in the next day. After I arrived, they offered me a ride in the courtesy shuttle, which I appreciated. However, I did not need a ride! By the time the courtesy shuttle returned, they had already bent my skid plate back into shape and screwed it back into place. The process was so efficient. To top it all off, they gave me a phenomenal deal! I was thrilled! They are so accommodating and they will DEFINITELY be getting my future business!

When my battery died, across the street from the shop and with a carload of kids, these guys didn't hesitate to come, quickly, get me moving again. They even had batteries ready at the shop. 45 minutes after our battery died we were headed back home with a new battery. I haven't used S+S before this but we will be back. Their friendliness, attentiveness and quick service, even though they were busy, made a great impression.
